06 · What Verdio provides

Vehicles, charging and solar generation

Verdio supplies the vehicles, the charging points and the solar generation that powers them.

Sale of electric vehicles

The fleet is sized route by route, according to shifts, daily kilometers and peak hours. The client chooses between direct sale and an operating lease with maintenance included.

Charging infrastructure

Chargers at the client's depots and operating bases, with Verdio's own charge-point management and billing platform on OCPP, the open charging protocol. Verdio measures and reports the energy per vehicle and per charging session.

Solar microgrids with storage

Panels and batteries on existing roofs and yards. They keep sites running during grid outages and supply power at worksites and locations with no grid connection.

How Verdio works

Study

Verdio sizes the operation before the client commits resources: routes, shifts, kilometers and power per site. With that data it builds the technical, economic and financial model.

Implementation

Verdio installs and operates the three components: the vehicles, the charging points and the solar generation with batteries.

Commercial structuring

The investment in equipment is structured with a third-party financing partner and the client pays a fee for the service. The client defines the procurement mechanism and the budget allocation.

07 · Rigor

Every figure carries its source

The figures on this site are cited with the institution that published them: Comisión Nacional de Energía, SINIM, Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas, PVGIS and 3CV certification. Figures based on Verdio's own calculation are identified as such, with their assumptions and their range.

Verdio calculates your organization's savings from your fleet logs and your electricity bills.

Chilean sources publish their figures in pesos. On this page those amounts are converted to US dollars at the observed exchange rate of CLP 926.94 per dollar (Banco Central de Chile, 9 September 2026); percentages and the figures behind them are unchanged.

08 · Evidence

Three local assessments prepared in 2026

Three technical proposals prepared during 2026. In each one, savings were calculated from the institution's own operating data.

A municipality in far-northern Chile

60–75% less per kilometer

Assessment figure with declared assumptions.

Municipal technical proposal, July 2026.

A city in central-southern Chile

USD 0.159/km → USD 0.025/km

Gasoline compared with electric, charging at the client's own depot (−84%), with declared assumptions.

Preliminary technical document, August 2026 — own calculation.

A municipality in the far south, on an isolated grid

−20/25% winter range

Verdio declares the winter range correction before presenting the proposal. The design assumes an isolated grid, with self-imposed constraints.

Technical proposal, 2026.

The names of the institutions are not published.

09 · How Verdio charges

The client pays a service fee

Gasoline 0.159 Electric 0.025 Cost per kilometer driven, in US dollars Electric with charging at the client's base
Preliminary technical document, August 2026 — own calculation, declared assumptions.

Verdio charges per kilometer operated and per kilowatt-hour delivered. A 120-day pilot measures actual operating conditions before the client commits to a larger contract.

For the public sector

  • The model is pay-for-service: the investment in equipment is structured with a third-party financing partner.
  • Verdio delivers the draft agreement and the technical and economic documentation for the internal evaluation.
  • An independent technical reviewer validates the measurement.
  • The Estrategia Nacional de Electromovilidad sets a target of 100% zero-emission sales of new light-duty vehicles by 2035.
  • Regional government funding lines are currently open and can accelerate the project.

For private companies

  • Verdio measures and reports kilometers driven, energy delivered and estimated emissions, vehicle by vehicle.
  • Own generation on the roof fixes the cost per kilowatt-hour.
  • Available industrial roof space allows own generation.

Frequently asked questions

What does an electromobility consulting firm such as Verdio Consulting do?

Verdio Consulting is the Verdio group's electromobility and renewable energy consulting firm. It studies, implements and commercially structures projects for public institutions and large companies: it sizes the fleet and the charging, builds the economic model and measures the execution. It charges according to the kilometers operated and the energy delivered.

How much does it cost to electrify a municipal fleet in Chile?

It depends on the size of the fleet and on the routes, and it is calculated case by case. As a reference for current spending, a fleet of 100 vehicles spends between USD 259,000 and USD 518,000 a year on fuel (SINIM, Chile's municipal information system, 2025; indicative).

How much does an electric vehicle cost per kilometer compared with gasoline?

In a 2026 technical proposal for a city in central-southern Chile: USD 0.159 per kilometer on gasoline compared with USD 0.025 charging at the client's own depot, with declared assumptions (preliminary technical document, August 2026). The savings of each fleet are calculated from its own data.

How can a municipality finance the renewal of its fleet?

With a pay-for-service model: the investment in equipment is structured with a third-party financing partner and the client pays a fee for the service. The client defines the procurement mechanism and the budget allocation. Regional government funding lines are currently open and can accelerate the project.

What exactly does Verdio Consulting sell?

Three services: sale of electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and solar microgrids with storage. Verdio studies each case, installs the three components and charges according to the kilometers operated and the energy delivered.

What is the technical meeting, and what should you have ready?

A working meeting on your actual data: fleet logs, annual fuel cost and twelve electricity bills per meter. With that documentation Verdio calculates the savings for your own operation.
